Dena, Luxury Car Made in Iran

Tehran: Iran's leading automakers, Iran Khodro Company (IKCO), launched a luxury car "Dena" assembled by the factory in the country. The plan, luxury car will be sold to the market in April 2012.
Iranian Minister of Industries and Mines Ali-Akbar Mehrabian told Press TV, Dena luxury car designed and manufactured by Iranian experts automotive. Construction is in compliance with the emission standards Euro IV and V.
"In Iran's contribution in the car market, We already have a market in 30 states. Last year we exported 40 thousand units of cars and now with Dena, we are targeting the luxury car market," said Iran Khodro Company CEO Javad Najmeddin, as reported by Xinhua, Monday (18 / 4).
"IKCO also plans to raise production to 730 thousand units of vehicles per year at the end of 2011 and increase the export volume of more than 600 thousand cars in 2016," said Najmeddin.
Russia, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Ukraine, and Egypt is the main market target company. Dena comes in two models LX and Elx. The first model will be equipped with gasoline engines EF7 and CNG-based engine. While Elx version will be equipped with turbo-charged engine EF7. Manual gearbox will also be installed, but an electronic automatic transmission system could be an option that allows for the future. (Ulf)
